CURRENT STANDOUTS
Your Money or Your Life
by Vicki Robin & Joe Dominguez
Gist: This book talks about money, time, and what they mean to you. The book asks you to evaluate your spending, how you feel about it, and whether it was worth the hours needed to have it. It also talks about the FIRE movement (Financial Independence, Retire Early) and why it is amazing -- to some people!
Favorite tidbit: Everyone has a "gazingus pin" when spending. This is the thing that you cannot resist buying. You already have it (likely many of it) in a different color, texture, whatever, and yet you buy it again! The book will make you think about what yours is and call you out about whether you even like it. The book will call you out in the most tough love but needed way!

The Psychology of Money
by Morgan Housel
Gist: This book talks about what it means to have money, lose money, want money, etc. It talks about every psychological response you could think of when thinking about money. However, more importantly it talks about how we all too often think we are the exception. We think we won’t make the same mistakes others do, and yet time and time again we do.
Favorite tidbit: Honestly this was one of those books where it is all too good that you dont walk away with a favorite part. So happy reading!
